R.I.P Harry Kalas

The long-running announcer for the Philadelphia Phillies died today.

This may be hard to believe, but I watched a lot of Phillies games while growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs, and Kalas's distinctive voice was a huge part of the experience. I am even known to do a pretty good impression of the man.

I haven't followed a sports team for eons now, but nonetheless, it is sad to know that Kalas is gone. Click the headline for the full story.
